Analysis – Costa Nueva is a seafood restaurant founded by two friends obsessed with offering the city the freshest ingredients brought directly from the pacific coast. Its premium location demanded impeccable presentation, as well as a personality that represented the restaurant´s culinary offer: a casual and contemporary reinterpretation of the best food the Mexican coast has to offer.
Concept — Our idea was to transport Costa Nueva´s identity to Mexico´s progressive and modern 50s, a decade characterized by the high aesthetic values derived from the artistic boom the country was going through at the time. This “golden decade”, which placed our country among the global elite, was defined by the work of great artists, musicians, painters and architects. “Tan Lejos y Tan Cerca del Mar” (Far Away, Yet so Close from the Sea) is a slogan that emphasizes the characteristic freshness of the ingredients served in the restaurant, as well as the lifestyle evoked by its interior design.
Identity — We developed a casual and relaxed visual language that reminds us of a small Mexican beachfront restaurant, and contrasted it with certain contemporary elements, vintage decorative pieces, and a name that explains the concept in a fresh and concise manner.
Actions — Branding, naming, interior design, copy, advertising campaign for print and digital media.
