Long weekend is a hospitality creative developer, offering properties with an authentic story and a distinct point of view. They create fun, sophisticated and well-designed hospitality destinations, with the mission to create unforgettable experiences and adventures.
The brand is a firm believer in authenticity and local connections, so no two Long Weekend properties tell the same story. Instead, each of their spaces celebrates its unique location through a distinctive lens.
Based on a desire for each property to be fiercely independent – and yet having a common brand voice that co-exists across all properties – we developed an identity that is familiar, intimate and approachable.
The graphic concept revolves around a sense of place and belonging. Inspired by different moments of classic American and international leisure we gather different imagery that evoque both pleasure and rest.
Based on this aim for adaptability we created a logo that communicates movement and modularity, with one of its iterations having a strong fluid composition to convey their organic approach to each of their locations.
We were also inspired by Joel Meyerowitz, and the feelings he has always succeeded at portraying: real, honest, inspiring and culturally-relevant. Many of his images inspired our bright color palette and the material selection for the brand's applications.
