Savvy Studio In Coolhunter
Savvy Studio, the art of staying in constant flux.
The origins of Savvy Studio are in Monterrey, founded by Rafael Prieto in 2010 with branding and graphic design services. Almost eight years after its foundation, this studio has become a multidisciplinary firm that includes industrial design, architecture and interior design.
Now with an office in New York, led by Rafael Prieto and in Mexico City, led by Bernardo Domínguez. A study that has stood out for its sober, elegant and cared for aesthetic proposals down to the smallest detail. With the commissioning of some projects in New York, they began to have an international presence with the design of shops, hotels in Brooklyn and a pop-up at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
The only constant is learning, understanding what is happening in the culture and context of cities, especially in art and design. As a studio, you have to be in constant change, it is a maturation process understanding new trends and working with younger people, a departure and sharing knowledge that we have been developing over time.
With the aim of generating experiences, the studio not only proposes a logo or packaging, but also generates the store, the lighting and everything that the need for each project dictates.
We expanded and invited more people to join the team to help us complete that experience and delve into the meaning of living space. Always think between the client and the people who are going to experience it; A process of conceptualizing, is to look for ideas that go beyond references and have to do with the context and the place where a story takes place.
They are currently working on a product experience in a hotel located in the Zócalo of Mexico City, along with the development of Rebecca's restaurants and a gallery in New York; also a cookbook and architecture book, as well as projects for a brand of perfumes, artisan sweets and cosmetics. His interest is to continue growing globally and delve into the topic of hospitality, hotels and more complete projects. At the moment, they are developing a line of furniture that they will present at Design Week Mexico 2017 and activities that they will carry out during the design month at Casa Bosques to be announced soon.
