PENSIÓN

A ten-room guesthouse in the heart of Roma Norte — a place shaped as much by the neighbourhood as by the people who have passed through it. It is, at its core, a home stitched into the fabric of a close community

The project began quietly, four years ago, tucked above our bookstore, chocolate atelier, and creative studio.

What started as a modest three-room refuge became a testing ground for Savvy’s way of thinking about hospitality — a small universe built from travel, art, culture, food, design, and a certain poetic romanticism. The house has always been a conversation between craft and imagination.

This new chapter of PENSIÓN reflects a deeper study of what makes a stay feel genuinely lived-in: charm without pretence, coziness without clutter, space that allows you to land softly.

The rooms draw from the architectural quirks of the two former family homes — Juliet windows opening onto a quiet, tropical street; garden patios where morning light slows everything down.

Each space carries its own temperament. Immersive artist-designed wallpapers form the emotional backdrop; furniture and objects appear like fragments of an ongoing dialogue.

Many pieces are part of continuing collaborations by Savvy’s creative director Rafael Prieto — lighting and seating sculptures with Marrow Project; rugs from his forthcoming Christopher Farr collection; wallpapers developed with Wallpaper Projects; furniture wrapped in archival textiles from Studio 84; sculptural lighting by Bocci. The walls are painted in soft, mineral tones using St Leo’s 100% natural pigments, lending the entire house a gentle tactility.

Every room has been assembled with the instinct of a collector rather than the logic of a hotelier — a gathering of works, ideas, and materials brought together by friends, makers, and artists who have long considered PENSIÓN an extension of home.

The quiet poetry of the house emerges in the way each room shifts your sense of place. One might feel like a museum antechamber, another a small café, another a private study. Guests are invited to inhabit them freely, to let context slip away, to find their own narrative inside each space.
